Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the application of transumbilical single-port laparoscopy in endometrial cancer surgery.

Methods

The clinical data of a patient with endometrial cancer diagnosed in gynecology in Linyi Central Hospital in Apr. 2023 underwent transumbilical single-port laparoscopic staging surgery were retrospectively analyzed, summarize the key points of the operations and explore the feasibility.

Results

Using a suture to suspend the lateral umbilical ligament to the anterior abdominal wall to expose the obturator fossa, and suture to suspend the bladder to the anterior abdominal wall to expose the vaginal stump. Using the method of pulling the right side to handle the left side, pulling the left side to handle the right side, and increasing the distance between operating points to form a relatively large intersection between instruments and reduce collisions between instruments. Placement of transvaginal T-tube drainage in the pelvic cavity. The surgery proceeded smoothly, taking 124 minutes, intraoperative bleeding about 20 ml, the pelvic drainage tube was removed 2 days after surgery, and the patient was discharged 4 days after surgery, no complications occurred. The pelvic drain was stopped on the second day after the operation, and the patient was discharged on the fourth day after the operation with high cosmetic satisfaction.

Conclusion

Transumbilical single-port laparoscopy staging surgery for endometrial cancer is safe and feasible, and has fast recovery, short hospital time, and a high cosmetic degree, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
