Causes and solutions of vision loss in laparoscopic surgery

Abstract:

Maintenance of optimal vision during minimally invasive surgery is crucial to maintaining operative awareness, efficiency and safety, especially with limited or absent tactile feedback.Hampered vision can be caused by many factors, and thus solutions to maintain pristine visual acuity varied. We performed a review of literature to present the current body of evidence supporting the use of numerous techniques.
