Abstract:

Objective

To explore the feasibility of laparoscopic common bile duct exploration with choledochoscope by ductus cysticus for those with gallbladder stones and common bile duct stones.

Methods

32 patients with gallbladder stones and common bile duct stones were performed laparoscopic common bile duct exploration with choledochoscope by ductus cysticus from Jan. 2008 to Dec. 2013.

Resluts

All 32 cases were cured and stone clearance rate was 100% with 1 case had no CBD stone . One patient showed intermittent abdominal pain on day 3 after the surgery, and jaundice on day 6, by conservative therapy, both the symptoms were improved on day 8. Other patients had no biliary leakage, abdominal pain, and choloplania or infection of incision. No calculus regeneration or bile stricture occurred during following-up in the 29 patients.

Conclusions

With proper patient selection, laparoscopic common bile duct exploration with choledochoscope by ductus cysticus is safe and feasible.
