Abstract:

Objective

To explores the minimally invasive surgical application of sentinel lymph node resection, hysterectomy, and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy through a single-site laparoscopic approach via the umbilical cord.

Method

A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of a patient who underwent radical surgery for endometrial cancer at Renji Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in Jan. 2023.

Results

In this case, the patient strictly followed the concept of "precision" and "minimally invasive" during the radical surgery for endometrial cancer under the single-site laparoscopy through the navel, and adhered to the tumour free principle. Through the surgical methods of fluorescent tracer guided sentinel lymph node resection and single-site laparoscopy for radical hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, the lesion tissue was completely removed with minimal intraoperative bleeding and less damage; The surgical pathological staging was IAm POLEmut stage of endometrial adenocarcinoma, and no abnormalities were found during postoperative evaluation and follow-up, further confirming the feasibility and safety of the surgery.

Conclusion

Single-site laparoscopic technique is safe and feasible in the surgical treatment of early endometrial cancer, and sentinel lymph node resection has a good indicative effect on the clinical staging of endometrial cancer patients.

Key words: Laparoscopic single-site surgery, Early-stage endometrial carcinoma, Sentinel lymph node resection
