Current status of laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass

Abstract:

Obesity and its comorbidities(hyperlipidemia, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases)yet have been a serious public health problem worldwide.From 1975 to 2016, prevalence of obesity has been arising in most of the world, especially in Asia.China has more obese patients than any other country in the world since 2016.For now, bariatric surgery is the mainstay of treatment for obesity, in which laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass(LRYGB)and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy are most widely available.This paper will make a brief summery of recent studies in LRYGB.
