Abstract:

Objective

To evaluate the feasibility and safety of pylorus and spleen preserving robotic total pancreatectomy.

Methods

One patient undergoing pylorus and spleen preserving robotic total pancreatectomy for pancreatic multipleglucagonomain Aug. 2015 was studied, perioperative and follow-up data were collected.

Results

The operation was completed uneventfully, the operation time was 430 min, estimated blood loss was 100 ml, no perioperative complications were observed and length of hospital stay was 7 days, the blood glucose was range from 6-12 mmol/L during 6 months follow-up.

Conclusions

Pylorus and spleen preserving robotic total pancreatectomy is feasible and safe under the skilled laparoscopic surgeon.
