Abstract:

Objective

The operation plan and therapeutic effect of laparoscopic middle splenectomy for 1 splenic lymphangioma were discussed.

Methods

A young female patient with middle splenic lymphoma was selected, reviewed the literature and discussed in many disciplines to formulate individualized operation plan and treatment strategy for the patients.

Results

The operation operated smoothly, postoperative recovery smoothly without complications, and nearly half of the spleen tissue was retained. During the follow-up, the platelet increased gradually within 1 week after operation, and the symptomatic treatment returned to normal. After 1 year of follow-up, platelets remained in normal range.

Conclusions

For benign lesions of the middle spleen, laparoscopic mid splen ectomy not only has minimally invasive advantages, but also retains more spleen for patients.
