Abstract:

Minimally invasive posterosuperior liver segment resection is challenging and its surgical strategy has not been standardized. This article reviews techniques for minimally invasive posterosuperior liver segment resection, both laparoscopic and robotic, describing the details and potential advantages and disadvantages of these techniques. By reviewing and elaborating the literature on the key points of anatomy, preoperative evaluation, surgical approach, and intraoperative techniques (exposure, bleeding control) of minimally invasive posterosuperior liver segment resection, we hope to provide some references for the formulation of standardized and individualized surgical treatment strategies for minimally invasive posterosuperior liver segment resection.

Key words: Posterosuperior liver segments resection, Minimally invasive
