Abstract:

Objective

To explore the feasibility of three ports laproscopic anterior rectectomy via natural orifice specimen extraction surgery (TLAR-NOSES) and surgical technique.

Methods

The clinicopathological data of patients undergoing TLAR-NOSES for sigmoid colon and rectal cancer in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of Guangdong Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from Jan. 2020 to Jun. 2021 were retrospectively analyzed, and postoperative regression was analyzed.

Results

A total of 11 patients underwent TLAR-NOSES surgery. There were 4 males and 7 females, with a mean age of (56.27±15.13) years. The mean operative time was (203.27±57.16) min, the mean bleeding volume was (60.00±30.98) ml, and the mean hospital stay was (6.82±3.62) days. There was one patient with postoperative complications, which was grade B abdominal infection.

Conclusions

The TLAR-NOSES procedure is safe and feasible, and a more minimally invasive result can be achieved in some patients with early staging and a small tumour by adopting such a procedure.
