Abstract:

Endometriosis is a relatively prevalent disease with 10% frequency among women of reproductive age. Recently, the surgery concept has changed from radical surgery to pain relief, fertility improvement, comprehensive treatment, life-long management. Surgery can be an important treatment option for women with symptomatic endometriosis. The advances in laparoscopic surgery made the relatively recent rapid progress in surgery for endometriosis possible. Open surgery is gradually replaced by minimally invasive surgery. This review summarizes the progress of minimally invasive treatment for endometriosis.
