Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application effect of electric blanket in robot-assisted radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer.

Methods

80 patients with robot-assisted radical gastrectomy were selected in the general hospital of PLA from Jun.to Dec. 2017, the patients were divided into test group and control group according to the parity of operation date before operation. The test group was kept warm by electric blanket on the basis of routine nursing, while the control group was only given routine nursing. To compare the difference in nasal temperature of the two groups before the operation, during the operation of 120 min and the end of the operation. To compare the differences of extubation time and total waking time between the two groups after operation.

Results

The nasal temperature of the patients in the test group was (36.4 ± 0.1)℃ and (36.3 ± 0.2)℃ during the operation of 120 min and the end of the operation respectively, it was significantly higher than that of the control group at(36.1 ± 0.2)℃ and (35.7 ± 0.3)℃(P< 0.05). The decrease trend of the nasal temperature in the test group is significantly lower than that of the control group at different time points[F(2, 78)=374.4, P< 0.05], with statistical significance. Comparison of nasal temperature between two groups: The nasal temperature of the test group was significantly higher than that of the control group[F (1, 39)=25.93, P<0.05], with statistical significance. Interaction between different time points and two groups: With the change of operation time, The nasal temperature of the two groups was reduced. The decrease trend of the nasal temperature in the test group is significantly lower than that of the control group, there are interaction effects[F (2, 78)=74.89, P< 0.05], with statistical significance.

Conclusions

The electric blanket can reduce the loss of heat and reduce the hypothermia during the robot assisted radical gastrectomy, and can effectively improve the quality of the patient′s recovery.
