Abstract:

Objective

Observe and summarize the efficacy of laparoscopic liver endo-cystectomy for hepatic cystic echinococcosis.

Methods

The clinical data of 16 cases of hepatic cystic echinococcosis admitted from Aug.2012 to Jul. 2017 in our hospital and laparoscopic liver endo-cystectomy were summarized and analyzed.

Results

16 cases with laparoscopic surgery have achieved a one-time success. The operation time was 1-3 hours, with an average of (1.7 ± 0.4) hours and hospital stay of 6-11 days (mean, 7.2 ± 1.7) days. All patients received albendazole[10 mg/(kg·d)]7 days before operation and 3 months after operation. All patients were followed up for 6-36 months, no recurrence of disease, and no obvious residual fluid, infection and other complications.

Conclusions

Laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of hepatic cystic echinococcosis has the advantages of rapid recovery from injury and so on. However, surgical indications should be strictly followed and perioperative management should be carried out. Intraoperative organs should be well protected from anaphylaxis, intraperitoneal implantation and reduction of operation after the recurrence.
