The facture and the clinical application of custom-made automatic opening specimen retrieval bag

Abstract:

Objective

The study is to evaluate the clinical application value of custom-made automatic opening specimen retrieval bag in thoracoscopic surgery.

Methods

Between Jun. 2016 and Apr. 2017, the samples were taken out use the custom-made automatic opening specimen retrieval bag in a total of 27 patients who underwent thoracoscopic surgery in our hospital. Custom-made automatic opening specimen retrieval bag production, specimen extraction and incision complication were analyzed.

Results

Among the 27 patients, the custom-made automatic opening specimen retrieval bags were easy to make[ (15 ± 5)s], and the samples were also easy to take out [(30 ± 10)s], without incision infections, incision disunions, or tumor implantation.

Conclusions

The custom-made automatic opening specimen retrieval bag for thoracoscopic surgery is easy to make and use, and could obviously reduce the hospitalization costs and shorten the operation time.
