Abstract:

Ovarian cyst is a common gynecological disease, having a great influence on ovarian reserve for females at reproductive age. With the development of laparoscopic technique, laparoscopic cystectomy remains the first-line choice for benign ovarian cyst. Laparoendoscopic single-site surgery, which has only a small incision at umbilicus, is more cosmetic and has been more and more widely used in ovarian cystectomy among young women. However, its twisted visual angle and single-port access make it's more difficult to operate, thus arousing the consideration whether this new technique would have negative effect to the ovarian reserve. In order to answer this question, we reviewed and summarized some researches and show what we found below.

Key words: Laparoendoscopic single-site surgery, Ovarian cyst, Ovarian reserve
