Abstract:

Objective

To compare the perioperative indicators in patients with open and laparoscopic gastrectomy for gastric cancer, and discussion the main reason for differences.

Methods

The clinical data of 183 cases of gastric cancer from Jan. 2011 to Dec. 2014 were analyzed retrospectively, 116 cases of laparoscopic radical gastrectomy and 67cases of open radical gastrectomy.

Results

The operative time was no significant difference in patients with open and laparoscopic gastrectomy (P>0.05); the blood loss of open radical gastrectomy was significantly higher than the laparoscopic gastrectomy; the white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin, albumin and platelet have a significant difference in two groups with postoperative recovery process (P<0.05), while the blood and albumin transfusion , total abdominal drainage, drainage tube removal time, ambulation time, exhaust time, hospitalization time with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05).

Conclusions

Laparoscopic gastrectomy for gastric cancer has many advantages than open radical gastrostomy.
