The influence of operation ways(TAPP and TEP)on chronic pain after herniorrhaphy

Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the influence of operation ways(TAPP and TEP) on chronic pain after herniorrhaphy.

Methods

Retrospective study was used to analyze the experience of tension-free repair in 186 patients in Kunming Yan’an Hospital from Mar. 2014 to Mar. 2015.102 patients received TAPP procedure and 84 patients received TEP procedure.They were followed-up to know whether they have postoperative chronic pain.

Results

The incidence of chronic pain after herniorrhaphy was 7.0%(7/100) and 9.9%(8/81) in TAPP group and TEP group, respectively.and there was not a significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05 ).

Conclusions

There was not significantly influence on two kinds of operation ways after herniorrhaphy.
